Exoenvironmentalism
In late June 2007, there will be a meeting held in Santorini (celebrating Alex Wolszczan's birthday) on the search for Earth-like planets. Because a major theme of the meeting is to be the effect of environment on planet formation (e.g., the original extrasolar planets, found orbiting a pulsar, or the planet in the M4 globular cluster), my first suggestion for a meeting title was Exoenvironmentalism: Earths in the Balance. Although we've settled instead on Extreme Solar Systems, Steinn Sigurðsson has correctly pointed out that exoenvironmentalism is a word worth holding onto.
